The following statistics are from the US Dept of Transportation (RITA) . One obvious item not included are crossings by sea.

Calais and Eastport are the two busy crossings near Machias. There is a crossing at Lubec to Campobello Island, frequently remembered as the vacation spot for Franklin Roosevelt.
